The Cattle Cait Halloween Brooch Collection is a little bit spooky, a little bit Western, and entirely made by hand.

Each brooch begins as hand-tooled leather, individually painted, antiqued, stitched and burnished in my shop on the Saskatchewan prairie. Inspired by old Halloween illustrations, folk art, horses, witches and the wonderfully strange things that come out once the days get shorter, no two pieces are exactly alike.

These are meant to feel like tiny pieces of wearable folk art — something you might have found tucked away in an old costume trunk and pulled out every October.

Pin one to a coat lapel, sweater, hat, scarf, bag or ribbon necklace, or tuck it away with your Halloween treasures to bring out year after year.
